4. QiSophia - the wisdom of life energy for mind,
body healing
This Workshop runs over two days (Saturday and Sunday)
QiSophia offers a way for medicine, metaphysics,
psychology, and new science to begin to create a living holistic
approach to healing.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been, and
still is, the principal healing system in China for over 4000 years.
Anthroposophic medicine has been in use throughout the world for
over 100 years. These disciplines combined with the new science
and the Process Oriented Psychology of Arnold Mindell are the pillars
on which QiSophia stands, and form the basis of this course which
is grounded and essential learning for 21 century practitioners.
This workshop provides an introduction to this developing new
paradigm.
The QiSophia Workshop will cover:
- an introduction to the three paradigms on whose shoulders QiSophia stands: we will explore the similarities and tensions in these approaches without attempting full resolution. It is the ability to carry the tension that in itself allows for something new to emerge. This in itself provides an experience of working with soul – an essential part of the paradigm of QiSophia
- an understanding of
the human as that of a spiritual being in a physical body,
with subtle differentiated Qi, life force or ‘bodies’ that
are essential to the life of the physical body and without
which the physical body cannot be fully understood.
- an introduction to, and experiential exploration of, the different ‘bodies’/energies
- an exploration of the relationship of the human to nature. The workshop introduces the five elements (fire, earth, water, air and wood)
in the context of our three paradigms. This includes
working with a holistic and living thinking and understanding
of process and the entrainment of heart and head intelligence.
This is related to a useful understanding of the living human
organs with foods/herbs and activities that enhance health for
specific organs and symptoms.
- an opportunity to work on your own
body symptoms and other everyday challenges as a powerful skill
towards self awareness and participation in one’s own life.
